Stage 1
Alkaline Liquid Cleaner / Etchant
Stage 2
Fresh Water Rinse
Stage 3
Chromium Phosphate Coating Process
Stage 4
Fresh Water Rinse
Stage 5
R.O. Water Rinse
Painting
Kroma Finishing applies all paint using an electrostatic spray process resulting in the highest efficiency and quality possible. Parts are racked on the line and travel booth to booth to be painted on all sides without the need to touch or re-rack the parts.
Curing
After painting is complete the parts are allowed to flash-off for the proper amount of time before entering the curing oven. Kroma Finishing's gas powered convection oven features multiple stages. Dwell times vary based on the material thickness and coating types and can reach a peak metal temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit for at least five minutes.
Quality
After parts exit the curing oven, materials are inspected by our quality assurance department for color, gloss, mil thickness, appearance, and multiple other performance specifications.
